Winchester is a registered German Pointer. 2 year old neutered male. He has a few behaviour issues ie. likes to retrieve neighbour’s chickens, can be a bit of a delinquent inside the house, has a poor recall. Despite these very correctable behaviours, Winchester is friendly and wonderful with children, dogs, horses and other farm animals. He has also had two months of “field training” as a hunting dog. He will do best with an active family living in a country setting.

Winchester is “By Donation” to an approved home.

Unfortunately there has been very little response to this fundraiser so Cranky Crow has graciously extended the dates to purchase cards for another week! Thank you Darlene and Adrian!

Ally was scheduled for euthanasia at one of the local vet clinics for no reason other than the owner could no longer keep her.  She is 4 years old, spayed and up to date on her vaccinations.  She has been an indoor/outdoor cat but has only been inside  since coming to PGER.  Although she is not used to dogs she has been adapting to ours.  Ally is very friendly and very clean. She also LOVES cardboard boxes!

Ally is available for adoption “by donation”.

Lucy is a three year old female Potbelly pig.  She is far larger than she should be for her breed (approx. 200 lbs.). She was quite sore due to her obesity and  her feet being  badly overgrown. She was living indoors and was housetrained but now that she is with us at the rescue she lives outside in a large heated shelter.

Lucy has lost almost 50 lbs and has had her feet trimmed by Dr.Green as well as a shot of Ivermectin for worms. Lucy will need a proper potbelly diet to help reduce her weight and light exercise to start . Apples and cheerios are her favorite treat!

Lucy is “by donation” to PGER.

Well broke to ride. Still has lots of spirit so suited for an intermediate and up level rider.

Pleasure riding only as he has some arthritis in his front legs.

Free to loving home only.

Breed: Thoroughbred (no papers)

Age: approx. 18 years

Height: 15hh

Gender: Mare

Training/Suitability: Brood mare. We weren’t able to see if she was broke to ride or not yet due to her imaciated state when she first arrived.  Now that she has weaned her foal and is healthy again we were able to determine that she will need to be restarted under saddle.

Health: Good. Teeth recently floated. Wears a cribbing collar, does not crib with the collar on.

*Leena is a very gentle mare with a wonderful, quiet temperament. She was part of a large SPCA seizure, her adoption will require additional screening and restrictions.

Height: Will be approx. 14hh matured

Health: Good. Great conformation.

Training/Suitability: Halter broke.

*Baby boo is a gorgeous, healthy little filly with amazing potential. She is friendly, curious and very smart. She shows much of her mother’s quiet, tolerant temperament.

Breed: Kanata cross pony (no papers)

Age: 5 years

Height: 13.3hh

Gender: Gelding

Training: Green broke to ride.

Health: Good. Recovering from “seedy toe” on one back foot. Sound, no issues with laminitis.

Adoption Fee: $800

*Little Chief will make a good beginners horse once he has had some more trail hours on him. He is still a bit timid but is very good natured and happy to head out riding.
